About Haifa Conference on the Mediterranean Sea Research
The Haifa Conference for Research of the Mediteranean Sea is a common initiative of the Haifa University and the Municipality of Haifa. The conference is a yearly conference with an aim of holding a public academic discussion on the various research issues arising due to the massive marine development along the Meditteranean shores. Previous conferences focused on advanced marine technologies and strategies, natural gas discoveries, expansion of the national ports and oceans role in climate change among other subjects.
The conference is open to the general public.
